New results of MCC benchmarks are in, and the AT309 from Advanced Thaumic Innovations (ATI) is a promising force to be reckoned with. When compared with their last generation AT208 and Magik’s competing Mage 800, the AT309 excels by boasting an impressive 82% performance improvement on average in the widely recognized benchmarking tool, Magimark.

The three MCCs were put through their paces with scores of 1176, 1152, and 2138 respectively. This paints a clear picture of ATI’s latest model, the AT309, pulling ahead in this technological race.

The AT309’s increased performance does come with a slightly higher price tag at 1499₿, but this makes it a very appealing choice for both first-time buyers and those looking to upgrade their current systems. Comparatively, the AT208 and Mage 800 are currently priced around 900₿ and 1100₿ respectively.

As always, it’s important for potential buyers to consider their individual needs and budget. But for those seeking high performance, ATI’s AT309 seems to offer a substantial leap in capabilities.

Interestingly, industry insiders suggest that Magik is likely to announce their product for this cycle soon. For those who aren’t in a hurry, it may be apt to wait and see what Magik brings to the table before making a final decision. Regardless, the MCC market is heating up, and it’s an exciting time to be a part of it. Stay tuned for more in-depth reviews and comparisons as this new generation of MCCs continues to unfold.
